Corporate Innovation: Obstacles & Anti-patterns

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Whether it's fear of failure, red tape, or too much business as usual, corporate innovation faces 9 typical obstacles we need to overcome.

We'll cover a ruthlessly simple model for understanding how innovation goes from idea to team to project and what are the typical environment/culture challenges that hinder progress. These are simple equations such as Ideas = Opportunity / Fear. If we want more ideas we can either increase opportunities for inspiration (e.g. 20% time) or reduce the fear of getting fired for being on a "failing" innovation project.

We'll do a hands on brainstorming (many post its required) and then discuss the patterns and see how they are quite common between organizations.

Participants will leave with a map of obstacles that they've helped created and one lucky person will leave with a unicorn crown.
